The tallest observation wheel in the world at 550 ft, is situated in the middle of the Las Vegas strip and attached to The LINQ hotel. It’s bigger than the London Eye. The wheel gives unrivalled views of the Las Vegas strip (and given Las Vegas is not yet full of skyscrapers, you really can see quite a bit.
It features 28 ‘pods’, each holding approx 40 people at maximum, for guests to enter and takes around 30 minutes to complete. The glass encasing allows 360-degree views up and down the strip.
Getting to the LINQ hotel is right on the strip, so finding the venue is straightforward either by taking the Deuce bus in either direction up and down the strip and the hotel is a 5 minute walk. It does require a bit of navigation through the hotel itself, but there is signage along the way.
Tickets are purchased at the lower level and an elevator is available to take guests up to the main boarding area. There is a wheelchair route for guests when making your way through the line.
The High Roller is wheelchair accessible, and access is via a manual ramp. The venue does allow manual wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs to enter the pods. As you reach the front of the line, the wheel will actually be stopped (if not in a wheelchair, the wheel is still moving, very slowly, as passengers enter and exit).
Inside the cabin there is a lot room to move around, admittedly we visited during the day in the off-peak season. With the the stated number of 30 to 40 people it would be difficult to navigate around the pods and in particular get close enough to the windows for the best views.
Tickets are valid for one rotation and children 12 and under are free and discounts apply to those 13-17. The ticket price changes at 6:00 pm. The best way to save money is to purchase tickets online before you go.
